Title

Food Outlets with Population Race in the Four Corner States

Subject

This map shows food outlet locations in the four corner states. Population race data for Whites and Native Americans is also displayed.

Description

Access to food outlets which sell adequately healthy food is a major concern in public health.

This map displays the point data locations of food outlets in the four corner states. Also displayed is the population density by race for Whites and Native Americans in the same states. Using dot density symbology, this map visually shows the clusters of food outlets overlapping the clusters of population by race. This method of display shows that more Whites live closer to food outlets than Native Americans.
